AVW on Dr. Phil

Ashley Valley Wilderness is proud to have been a featured therapeutic program for young adults on the Dr. Phil Show. AVW accepts troubled young adults from ages 18-27 and also operates a separate troubled teen program for teens ages 12-17, which is called Mountain Homes Youth Ranch.

Our program appeared on the Dr. Phil Show in December, 2002. Rob Caldwell (AVW Clinical Director) traveled to Los Angeles, and while on the show met a young adult who was a featured guest. AVW accepted the young man into our program.

Dr. Phil indicated on his show that he had asked his staff to find the best program they could in the United States for troubled teens and young adults, and that they had recommended Ashley Valley Wilderness/Mountain Homes Youth Ranch. The young adult left the show and immediately entered into our program.

Dr. Phil has also referred other students to AVW. These students experienced a life-changing experience while in the program, and have continued their positive behavioral changes upon returning home.
