Phase Two - The Recovery Phase
The Recovery Phase at Ashley Valley is designed for students that have completed the Wilderness Phase and need additional time to work on therapeutic issues, their life skills, academics, and work ethic. This phase is open-ended and is an excellent transitioning tool to the family home, independent living, or college.
During the Recovery Phase all aspects of a typical day are opportunities to apply and reinforce learned skills. The staff works continually with the student to help them understand their behavior challenges, commit to change, and to generalize these changes into everyday aspects of their lives. Students continue individual and group therapy sessions.
During the Recovery Phase students can pursue their high school diploma, GED, and take college courses, and/or learn some of the following:
This phase culminates with a graduation seminar specifically designed to incorporate the student’s learned skills and personal interests. The staff will work with the student and sponsor to design a memorable and enjoyable graduation experience.
